You're invited to the Chicago's Best Baker Cookie Swap on Saturday, December 7, from 1-3 p.m. in the Wilson Abbey!

Register for the Chicago's Best Baker Cookie Swap! Register for the Chicago's Best Baker Cookie Swap!

This is a fundraiser for Cornerstone Community Outreach, one of Chicago's largest shelters for people experiencing homelessness.

To participate, bring 4 dozen cookies to trade and donate $20 to Cornerstone Community Outreach.

This is not a competition and there won't be any judging, just lots of delicious homemade cookies.

Fill your cookie jar up for the holidays!

Here is the checklist of how you can be part of the cookie swap:

  1. Make 4 dozen cookies.
  2. Once they have cooled, wrap them up in bundles of six. (You'll have 8 bundles of six cookies) You can wrap them by putting the cookies on paper plates and wrapping the plates with plastic wrap, putting the cookies into zip top bags, or putting the cookies into special holiday bags or boxes.
  3. Print your recipe and bring it with you so people know what kind of cookies you are sharing.
  4. Come to the Wilson Abbey at 935 West Wilson and enter through Everybody's Coffee at 1 p.m. on December 2.
  5. Donate $20 to Cornerstone Community Outreach. (You can do this online in advance or in person the day of the swap.)
  6. The cookies will be put on tables and everyone can choose 8 bundles of cookies to take home.

That's It! You do not have to be a resident of Chicago or an amateur baker to participate. If you have any questions, please email chicagosbestbaker@gmail.com for more info.
